Since 2003 hydrokinetic power-generating turbines have been successfully capturing ocean and tidal energy in European ocean waters with minimal environmental impact. Until now, there has been no efficient, reliable hydrokinetic turbine technology for capturing renewable energy power from free-flowing rivers.
