THE NEED

Hydrokinetic electricity-producing turbines installed on the riverbeds of fast-flowing rivers can become a low-impact, renewable power source. RER’s turbines are adapted from similar technology already successfully used to capture energy from ocean tides.

The exploration and development of sustainable, renewable power sources such as the RER TREK Turbine is an agreed-upon priority among world leaders and environmentalists alike. In the context of dwindling carbon-based power sources, environmental pollution, land conservation, the need for such exploration becomes even greater.

The RER TREK turbines address global renewable power production needs by:

  • Generating electricity with minimal environmental impact.
  • Converting free-flowing river energy into green house gas free electricity.
  • Requiring minimal infrastructure, they arrive pre-assembled and can be quickly installed.
  • Offering higher, predictable power availability than wind-driven turbines, they are easily connected to isolated or interconnected power grids.
  • Competing in terms of electricity cost with traditional renewable energy options.
