A large number of potential sites have been identified as meeting the criteria needed for the TREK turbine to operate properly (technically, environmentally and economically).
Human and marine species traffic is low in the areas where TREK turbines can be installed. Nevertheless, the TREK turbine was designed so as not to harm any fish that might pass through.
RER is now testing its technology with most advanced and well-defined environmental monitoring protocol and candid transparency reporting system, to ensure that no harm comes to wildlife.
